When Lucy was one,
She was so much fun.
And when she was two,
We knew what to do:
Cross over the sea
To see her at three!
When she was four,
We just wanted more.
But when she was five
We said "Sakes alive!"
It's going too fast, please make it last.
But -dastardly trick-
Lucy turned six!
Then - Good heavens! Good heavens!
She grew into seven!
She then became eight
So sweet and so clever.
Oh, can't she stay nine now
Forever and ever??
