But April is NOT the cruelest month...
In fact, it can be downright joyful.

Introducing Our Alec
Date of Birth: April 15, 2015
Designers: Adam and Isa
Weight: 7.89 pounds
Length: 19.8 inches
We have had Lucy's birthday this month. And Sophie's. And mine.
Movita Beaucoup baked me a beautiful cake with pearls on top.
Red velvet cake with cream cheese icing
We ate lobster first, of course!
Sophie and Jean Paul sent a truly beautiful card
And look what I got out of the treasure box! Daddy's handmade cardigan - 37 years old and still looking as good as new! I doubt that our current manufactured clothing would have as long a shelf life. The shoes, however, are a tad dated in terms of style!
We've had an anniversary this month - too many years to mention but worth a celebration!
We had a great meal at our favourite Halifax restaurant - Epicurious Morsels. It is a lovely neighbourhood restaurant - cosy and comfortable with a great chef (Jim) and excellent service.
Weekend Pullover for Alec
Pattern: Weekend Pullover
Designer: Andrea Sanchez
Yarn: Mineville Wool Project Merino DK
Needles: Circular 5.0 mm
I really enjoyed working with this Nova Scotia yarn from the province's very own Fleece Artist company. The wool is soft to the touch, machine washable, and has great stitch definition.

Squeeeeeee! Perfect post!
I second the squeal... A perfect post.
Congratulations to all--birthdays, births and anniversary. It's a good thing to have more Dyers in the world!
xo
There are seven family birthdays in seven weeks -- a lot of cake! Great-Aunt Amy made space for Alec, but I still think about her on the 20th.
