Needles: Circular - 3.75 mm and 3.25 mm
This is one of my favourite patterns for babies.
The only modifications I made were to increase the bottom border by a few rows to reduce the risk of rollover, and to finish the sleeve cuffs on a smaller needle as I prefer them to be just a bit narrower.

Your version of baby cardi is BEAUTIFUL! I started this pattern (I'm kind of a beginner) and I don't understand these directions, "Repeat rows 9 & 10 increasing
outside markers (leaving 2 stockinette stitches between) until piece measures 3 3/4-inches and 188 " how do you increase outside markers?? Thanks for your help!
